Environmental indicators are ideal, fluorescent whitening agents need attention
Washing detergents such as washing powder and laundry detergent are essential daily necessities in our lives. However, in recent years, due to the increasing awareness of environmental protection, the safety of washing powder and other washing products has been widely concerned by people from all walks of life. Recently, the Tianjin Consumers Association released a comparative test report on laundry detergent and laundry detergent products. A total of 30 sets of laundry detergent and washing powder samples have advantages in decontamination ability of sebum, edible oil, coffee, red wine, soy sauce, etc., and the washing effect is uneven. However, the test results of the environmental indicators of the samples were ideal. All the samples were not detected with APEO (alkylphenol ethoxylate) content. At the same time, the phosphorus content did not exceed the EU limit and exceeded the national standard. As can be seen from the results, environmental indicators are still ideal. However, it is necessary to remind consumers that the results of this comparative test are only responsible for the sample.
This comparative test sample involves 20 sets of laundry liquid samples and 10 sets of washing powder samples, all of which were purchased from 6 large domestic supermarkets, such as “China Resources Wanjia” and “Yumemei”, and entrusted “Tianxiang (Tianjin) Quality Technology”. Service Co., Ltd." conducted the test.
It is worth mentioning that, for the fluorescent brightener problem that consumers are more concerned about, this comparative test also identifies whether the sample contains this component. The addition of a fluorescent whitening agent to the detergent can solve the yellowing problem caused by various reasons during the wearing of many clothes. According to the relevant national standards, two kinds of fluorescent whitening agents can be used to produce fabric detergents, but it is not specified whether the laundry liquid and washing powder need to explicitly contain fluorescent whitening agent components.
In response to this comparative test, Tianjin Consumers Association proposed to revise the relevant standards for laundry detergents and washing powders, and to learn from the phosphorus content of detergents in the European Union, that is, to test all forms of phosphorus in the sample, that is, the total phosphorus content. At the same time, the operator is called to indicate whether the product is added with fluorescent whitening agent, and a measuring instrument for the amount of sample is provided, which is convenient for consumers to use according to the instructions.
In short, through such experiments, environmental protection problems in the production process are guaranteed, and consumers are more assured to use detergents such as washing powder and laundry detergent.
